Juho Fossi, a filmmaker hailing from Turku, Finland, possesses a distinct knack for crafting chilling narratives within the realms of horror and thriller genres.

Holding a BA & MA from his film studies at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Fossi draws inspiration from the horror classics of the seventies and eighties, infusing them with a modern touch and a hint of black humor. He is known for his suspenseful short films that have gut-punched audiences at film festivals like Fantastic Fest (U.S.), Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (Belgium) and Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (South Korea) among others.

For Fossi actions speak louder than words, and this is often seen in his work, where the visual side and character actions drive the story forward instead of excessive dialogue. With experience as a producer and screenwriter, Fossi adeptly navigates the challenges of filmmaking within budget constraints.

A strong advocate for fostering healthy work environments, Fossi thrives on collaborative creative processes that bring out the best in everyone, including the actors. Acknowledged at Nordic Talents, Copenhagen, Fossi is currently in the initial stages of securing funding for his first horror feature, ready to showcase his distinctive cinematic vision to the world.
